Singing & Breathing

Sandra Smith is a singing teacher and choir coach with over 30 years experience in her field. She offers a cappella singing workshops, choir coaching and singing lessons in Devon and South West. When Sandra came to us her existing website was difficult to use and suffered with extensive spam issues. She required a new, responsive site that properly showcased her core services and that was modern and easy to use.

Web Build

Expanding on Sandra’s existing brand we created a new, beautiful and fully responsive website. This included using our own modified version of the WordPress CMS which ensured that the website is easier than ever to update. Being able to safely and effectively communicate with her users was a big priority so we included a new blog and events section with anti-spam features and included simple to use contact CTAs and forms across the site. We chose subtle colour changes and transitions to support the overall UX and implemented lazy loading, properly optimised images and code minification and compression to keep the site speedy on all devices.

We always use data as the main driving force in any web build or optimisation project. Because the previous site had been live for such a long period of time, we had extensive data within Google Analytics and Google Search Console that supported the re-optimisation across the site’s landing pages. Alongside competitor and keyword research, we mapped out top landing pages, search phrases and the current meta data in order for us to optimise the site as a new entity. We ensured all re-directs from old pages to new were properly set up and implemented Google Tag Manager and appropriate events so we could start tracking site actions and usage more effectively.
